It's been one week since school started!
And it has flown by!
Gotta keep the list short this week due to some other obligations so.....
here is how God is filling my tank up this week with thanksgiving:
  • New, hybrid school buses!! Yes, you read that right. Our district invested in some new hybrids! They are sleek, shiny and good for the environment! Our tax dollars hard at work! Thank you Lord for these awesome buses and that my youngest gets to ride on one! (the oldest still rides an old one)
  • New iMac computers for computer lab at the elementary schools in our district! This is a huge blessing! I don't know if all 7 elementary schools in our district have these but my youngest daughter's school has them and the school where I am assisting also has the new ones! (all children in grades K-6th grade take computer class/lab and children in grades 3-6 also learn keyboarding as per district requirements). So, when I help the kindergartners learn to type their name next week, we'll be on the i-macs! Thank you God!
  • For the blog Press On. It is written by my pastor's wife (Debbie) and whenever I visit it, I glean something for my soul. She is an eloquent writer and a very humble person. Her insight is amazing and I thank God for her. Check it out sometime. You can find it listed on my sidebar.
  • Fresh picked JonMac Apples! There is nothing like a fresh apple after school and the first batch of warm apple crisp for dessert. I thank God for the harvest of good fruit that we can enjoy.
  • The emotional, physical and mental/cognitive health of my 2 daughters. I won't go into details here but a couple of the children I am working with this year have some major problems. The little guy I am mainly working with/advocating for has a part of his brain deteriorating. Therefore he has delays in all areas. I am praying for this little guy. It makes me get on my knees and thank God for allowing me to birth 2 healthy daughters. And I thank God for the opportunity to teach D----. I thank Him that his mom gave birth to him and is working with us to help him learn all he is capable of.

That's it for now.
In what ways is the Lord filling you this week?
What are you most thankful for this week?

A wonderful list of good things to be thankful for. Your last one really touched my heart because as you know that was my field of work too, and I always had these overwhelming feeling of gratitude also, as well being thankful for the opportunities to work with wonderful children who needed help.

And now you've got me craving my fave desert. I have to go make a batch of apple crisp!

Great list, Faith.

I, too, love fresh apples and miss the extensive variety of apples available up north. Yum!

I'm thankful for my husband. He's been so sweet this whole summer. It's been a long summer of "female" problems and surgery! 6 weeks is almost here!
