Monday Musings 9

FOR TODAY

Outside my Window..sun starting to shine, blue sky, cool temps

I am thinking...about the sermon from yesterday (how leaders influence others)

I am thankful for..the awesome summer we have had, our precious family times and now, the start of school and work

From the kitchen...picnic things for later today (and a fresh pot of coffee...I'm up early!)

I am creating...a scrapbook of our camping/kayaking vacation

I am going..to Cherry Plain State Park today with the family, to meet a family we have known for years from our former church, for fun and fellowship!

I am wearing...my Victoria's Secret jammie set (cotton bottoms and tee shirt top)
I am reading...The Whole Truth by David Baldacchi, excerpts from the Adirondack book mentioned on my sidebar, and The Fledging to my youngest daughter

I am hoping..that the first day of school goes smoothly

I am hearing...2 bluejays at the feeder and the hum of this computer

Around the house...everything is caught up! 2 bills need to be paid by week's end

One of my favorite things..watching the a.m. sun rise from my deck, with hot coffee in hand, while everyone else sleeps in

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week....first day of school for me is Wed. First day for the girls is Thurs; shopping for school supplies for my teen is Thurs. afternoon (she doesn't get her schedule until homeroom on Thurs. a.m. so won't know what she needs until she has gone to every class); getting back into our new year routine; a trip to the library on Friday after school.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...
my youngest, Claire (age 9 1/2) with her daddy. This is one of my favorite vacation pictures. (Lewey Lake, Central Adirondacks, 8/08)

Sounds like a wonderful day! We just had family over for lunch. And we had gotten up slowly and lazily this morning, hot coffee close at hand! What a blessing these days are!

I hope you and your children have a wonderful start back to school!

Blessings!!!

I think a lot of us have school on our minds. We start this week also. A picnic with friends sounds like a lovely way to end the summer!

School starts again for us tomorrow too. I think we are all organised other than stationery stuff. What is a home-room? Not a word we are familiar with here?
