Today got off to a great start! I still can't believe summer is over..it just went by so darn fast!

Here's the list of things that are filling me up with thanks this week:

  • a smooth start to the new school year: everyone was up, dressed, beds made, breakfast, etc right on time!
  • Scripture and study books: I am loving the book I am going through entitled "Being Yourself". Am currently on the unit "The Power of Being Yourself" and the chapter I was in this past week is about setting others free to be themselves. I am thankful for people like Joseph, Daniel, Nehemiah, and Lydia who had the power to be themselves and helped others to be them selves. I am thankful that we are all unique and that we come to God & worship Him in unique ways. I am thankful that we can be used to bless and encourage others to be them selves.
  • for crockpots: once again, I need to make dinner before work and let it simmer in the crockpot all day. I need to do this on Mondays especially and most likely on Tuesdays. Mondays is the HizKidz Praise! ministry from 6 pm-8 pm from now until Xmas. Tuesdays is when Claire has her ballet class from 4: 30-5: 30. So..thank you God for the crockpot! It sure does come in handy!
  • for Simple and Delicious Magazine: this comes to my house every other month. I love it! It is chock-full of simple, quick recipes for dinners and snacks, breakfast ideas, desserts and salads. AND there is usually a section for slow cookers! Thank you God for this magazine!

"Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Serve the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His.....
Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise....for the Lord is good and His love endures forever."
Psalm 100: 1-3a; 4a; 5a

Have you thanked God today for the blessings He has given You?

What are you most thankful for this week?

To be encouraged with more Scriptures, head over to Pam's site.

Yes I am thankful the crock pot also......it's great when we are all back in school.
I am tired from school, but things have gone well.
Hope you have enjoyed a good first week also.
My students were so excited to come back to school. :)

Hi Aunt Helen:
Simple and Delicious is put out by same people as does Taste of Home. I no longer get T of H because I prefer Simple. It used to be called Quick Cooking. You can find out how to subscribe by going to the taste of home website and clicking on the simple and delicious link.
