Seek, Pray, Obey

I am short on computer time today so will try to make this brief.

My task for the day: my Moms in Touch meeting with another mom from my church and one from a Baptist church. We all have daughters in the same elementary school so we get together 2 times a month to pray, share concerns and encourage each other. It is a wonderful small group and easy for me to help with as I only work until 11 a.m. on Tuesdays! Our meetings are from 1:15-2:15 so it is just perfect and a direct answer from the Lord. It is an important task: praying for our children and the teachers, staff, principal and administration that make up the public school. I consider it a privelage to be in a great school district and an honor to lift it up in prayer before God.

My treasure I am sharing is from my a.m. devotions. I read through the next entry from my new book (see my sidebar: Fresh Grounded Faith is one great devotional!). However, today's entry was short so I got back into Isaiah which I have been reading since beginning of January. I am almost done with the book.

Was in Isaiah 52-53 this a.m. and these verses leapt out at me:

"Surely He has borne our griefs
and carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
But, He was wounded for our transgressions,

He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him
and by His stripes we are healed."
Isaiah 53:4&5

Jesus is the answer to any problem or situation that seems insurmountable.
It doesn't matter if you need a physical healing...Jesus heals.
It doesn't matter if you have a broken relationship or a friendship that has slipped away....Jesus can heal it. He can restore it.
It doesn't matter if your heart is physically sick or you have a broken heart from a break-up, a wayward child, a tragic circumstance, a death of a loved one....Jesus is the Healer of our broken hearts, bodies and spirits.

Seek Him. Pray for the answer you are searching for.
Obey Him.
You will get an answer.
By His stripes we are healed! He was wounded so that we could become whole!
He restores our souls!

Are you seeking Him today??

Do you have a special task that awaits you today....what is it??

I popped over from A Happy Heart At Home. Great post. Every time I read this verse it strikes me that Jesus took on my sins, the Just for the unjust. He was wounded because of me, and because of Him I am healed. You are so right, Jesus is still healing wounded hearts and wounded people today!
