Five Faves

It's Friday again!
This will be my last Friday Fave Five until the week that school starts......because in one week from today I will be entertaining friends and my immediate family at the beach house on Cape Cod for one final "hoorah" of summer vacation! So...next Friday morning I will be enjoying coffee on the deck overlooking Buzzards Bay and getting ready to kayak with my good friend and maybe our daughters!
A big thank you to Susanne from Living to Tell the Story for hosting this fun meme each week!

This song by the Christian group "Tenth Avenue North"
I tried to get the video of the song on this post but it didn't work! The song is titled "Beloved". For those of you who are on my Facebook Friends List, I have posted the you tube video to my profile page. This is a song that I really have needed the last couple of days. Oh, to just really know that we really ARE the Beloved of our God!
"Beloved" by Tenth Avenue North
Love of my life
Look deep in my eyes
There you will find what you need
Give me your life
Lust and the lies
The past you're afraid I might see
You've been running away from me

You're my beloved
Lover I'm yours
Death shall not part us
It's you I died for
For better or worse
Forever we'll be
Our Love it unites us
It binds you to me
It's a mystery

Love of my life
Look deep in my eyes
There you will find what you need
I'm the giver of life
I'll clothe you in white
My immaculate bride you will be
Oh come running home to me yeah *now*

You're my beloved
Lover I'm yours
and Death shall not part us
It's you I died for
For better or worse
Forever we'll be
Our Love it unites us

and it binds you to me yea now now

Well you've been a mistress, my wife
Chasing lovers it won't satisfy
Won't you let me make you my bride
You will drink of my lips
And**taste new life

You're my beloved
Lover I'm yours
Death shall not part us
It's you I died for
For better or worse
Forever we'll be
Our Love it unites us
it binds you to me

You're my beloved
Forever we'll be
Our love it unites us
And it binds you to me
It's a mystery

My good friend, Rachael.
She lives in the town where I grew up (Central NY)
and joined us for our family BBQ.
She IS like one of the family
and she is best friends with my younger sister Hope.
She also is a great friend to my daughters....
they think she is so much fun! (she is!)
And she brought me my very fave dressing
cause she knows how much I love it!
Courtney and Claire had loads of fun posing with her for this pic!

And here is my absolute fave dressing of any other kind!
A product of Fly Creek Cider Mill
(located in Cooperstown, NY)
It is "Sweet Vidalia Onion and Peppercorn".
My friend Rachael knows my love language is gifts
and ALWAYS surprises me with some little trinket or other.

For those of you who don't live near Central NY or within driving distance
(I live about 1 1/2 hour east of there!)
you can order their products online at their website.
Just google "Fly Creek Cider Mill"

My side of the family!

My sister, Hope, (in red shirt) and her hubby Donny
hosted a family BBQ.
From left to right, front: my sister Joy, me,
my oldest daughter Courtney,
my youngest Claire,

my Mom, my niece Emma.
Back row: my Dad, Donny(hiding), Hope,
my hubby Dave,
my nephew Luke (Joy's son),
my bro in law Mike (Jill's hubby)

my youngest sis Jill holding her youngest Mady

Claire and her friend Gracie.
I took them to Glimmerglass State Park in Cooperstown, NY.
For those of you who know the author, James Fenimore Cooper
("The Last of the Mohicans", among others....)
this area was his home for many years.

The girls had a fun afternoon
swimming
and creating this masterpiece from sand and seaweed.
It was fun to watch and listen to them......
I didn't get much reading done!

Ok! YOUR turn: what is at least ONE favorite thing from your week? OR....do your own post of your FIVE FAVES from this past week.....

ENJOY THE WEEKEND, EVERYONE!

Tenth Avenue North is one of my favorite groups. Love the lyrics you shared. That is a beautiful song.

How sweet that your friend speaks your love language to you.

My daughter is reading "Last of the Mohicans" right now! Although she's not enjoying it. ha. I'll have to tell her about your visit to Glimmerglass.

I've never heard that song that I know of. The lyrics are beautiful.

Do you ever look like your sister Joy. You've got a lovely looking family. It's so nice that you get together each year. What a fun thing to do as a last hurrah to summer.

LOL. My word verification is "pracking". You better get pracking for your trip! ;v)

Love the pictures of your extended family! And of course you are all enjoying the outdoors together. Also, like the pic of Claire at the beach. My daughter always seems to create sand/seaweed creatures also. Tell Claire I love her creative mind! :)

You should have taken the picture while Dave and I were still there. It was nice to see everyone and sorry we had to leave so soon.
What's this about Central, NY?????
Thought you were brought up in Herkimer!
