thank you to Susanne for hosting this!

Here it is: my absolute favorite coffee!
My husband does NOT do flavored coffee
....so... because he has left for work
before I have even gotten out of bed this week,
I have been able to enjoy my coffee every morning.......
This is the first week I have actually "slept in" all summer
and I love the quietness of my mornings
because the girls have been sleeping in longer as well.
I plan on bringing this coffee to the beach house
when we go back in a couple of weeks.
Although then, I will need to drink it in the late afternoons,
after kayaking in the bay......
Dave will insist I brew Nantucket Blend every a.m.!

Fresh Limes!
There has been a sale on lemons and limes this week.
I love fresh limes in my iced water or iced tea.
I even slice limes and just eat them!
So refreshing on these hot, humid days!
I also like drizzling the juice over grilled chicken or bluefish.

Beach Plum Jelly!
I discovered this flavor while shopping at our local grocery store.
This pic is not the one I bought, however.
The one I bought is Olde Cape Cod brand.
Beach plums grow all over the cape apparently
and it tastes so awesome on a warm croissant for breakfast.

My 10 yr old (Claire, in pink)
and her best friend from school (Samahria)
playing in the sand at Cherry Plain State Park.
We spent the bulk of a very hot day at this beach
and the girls were amazed that it was 10 degrees cooler than here in our town.
I loved watching them play and swim.

This devotional book.
It's simple but powerful.
The author does prayer journaling which is something I do,
and she took some of the words
that the Lord spoke to her during her prayer time,
and compiled them into this book.
It has really ministered to me this past week.
What about you?
What was at least ONE thing you liked about this past week?
What were some of your favorite things?

Love the list! I have been crazy for limes this summer, too.
Glad you got a week to sleep in! That is something I have trouble doing, even when I have the time to sleep in.
I do like flavored coffees but haven't tried blueberry yet.
Thanks for sharing about the devotional book. I'm always looking for a good one.
I'm not a flavored coffee girl, but I do love my coffee. I consumed A LOT of coffee at a little French cafe one day this week. MMmmmm....
Whew, I'm here, I'm here! ;v)
Love your list this week, Faith. All about simple good things of life. My hubby is not a flavored coffee fan either. I tend to prefer my flavors added rather than infused in my coffee bean but there are a few a like. I've never tried blackberry before.
I had lemon/limes in my water listed last week. What a refreshing thing. One of my favorite summer foods are grilled chicken breasts that have been marinated in a combo of lime juice, crushed garlic cloves, basil and olive oil. It is sood good and tender and summery.
I've been really craving beach days. We're landlocked so it's a lake beach and definitely not a resort lake, LOL, but it's still nice to sit and look at one's kids enjoying the water and have a cool drink and my current read handy. Love it.
I'm glad you have been able to enjoy some quiet mornings...I think quiet mornings might be my favorite.
Limes and plum jelly are both things I enjoy. The devotional sounds very interesting, too. I think I need to pick up my journal and start some prayer journaling again. Enjoy your weekend.
I love quiet summer mornings when I can sleep in a little and the kids sleep in longer. That's all over now that school started, sigh. But we do usually sleep in a little on Saturdays.
I so miss living near the beach! Looks like such fun.
I'm not a fan of flavored coffee, but my husband and middle son and daughter-in-law are. They have one that smells like caramel candy -- it makes me crave sweets all morning.
I love a good devotional book but have not seen that one.
Have a great weekend!
I have read excerpts from that devotional book and found them very encouraging. Hope they’ll continue doing the same for you!r
What a great list - you've had a wonderful week! I like fresh lime in my water - but lemon or pomegranate in my tea... I've never been to ANY of the northeast beaches - but that one looks like a good one. We live about 7 miles from the Chesapeake Bay - so we spend a good deal of time on it's beaches! *and of course there's Ocean City!* I'm going to have to look for that book... I think right now I hear AMAZON calling!
Great list Faith.
One of my favorite things this week was sitting at my kitchen table listening to my kids talk about the excitement of their first week of school. I try to have a snack ready for them when they come home and we while they eat it, we sit and talk about whatever happened in their day.
I love fresh limes in my iced water or iced tea. I even slice limes and just eat them!

Faith, I have to laugh. Limes are my all-time favorite fruit. I drink limeade every day, and love to drizzle fresh-squeezed lime on papaya and salmon steaks. Keylime pie (and cheesecake) are heaven! Move over chocolate... give me LIME!
Have a blessed weekend.
Hugs, e-Mom
Faith! That is my favorite coffee also! I wish we could enjoy a cup together. :) Although I put way to much creme in mine. :)
That book sounds good, I really need to get a devotional book like that. It sounds like a gem.
favorite things:
My sister is out from the village and we have had some fun visits.
My family was over for dinner.
We ate perook, a family favorite. (salmon fish pie)
Those are just some of the things right off the top of my head.
I am trying to get blogging back into my day! ha Glad you are on facebook!
