Linda at 2nd Cup of Coffee is hosting a Random Dozen Meme. Since I don't have much time to blog this week as we leave later today for our last vacation of the summer, I thought I'd do this....looked like fun!
1. When you go to Wowmart, what one thing do you get every single time, besides a funky-wheeled squeaking cart full of frustration? I DESPISE W--mart but I LOVE Target and I usually get toilet paper. Every.single.time.
2. What is something that people are currently "into" that you just don't get or appreciate? Twitter. What the HECK is the point,especially if you're on FB and have a blog? who cares what your children ate for lunch, or when you took a shower....my life is WAAAYYY too full for twittering!
3. What is something that really hoists your sail that other people might feel "ho-hum" about? Smelling the fresh balsam trees on the mountain summit.
4. Favorite song to sing in the shower or car? I typically don't sing in the shower...I tend to pray...and in the car? depends on which cd is in the player! Usually lately: Chris Tomlin's latest or Newsboys "In the Hands of God".
5. A really great salad must have this ingredient: Garbanzo beans.
6. Advice in a nutshell to new bloggers (one or two sentences): Keep it short and simple (I'm still learning to take my own advice :) ) and whatever you write is OUT there..in webville...even if you delete it!
7. What was the alternate name that your parents almost named you? Do you wish they had chosen it instead of the one they gave you? Don't know....don't think they had one.
8. What in your life are you waiting for? My close friends who don't know the Lord yet, to come to know Him in a personal way.
9. You get a package in the mail. What is it, and who is it from? Fly Creek Salad Dressing (Sweet Vidalia Onion and Peppercorn) from my good friend Rachael C.
10. Today--what song represents you? Lead Me to the Cross by Newsboys.....
11. What is one thing that blogging has taught you about yourself? That I do hear from God at times and can actually get my thoughts down about what He is teaching me and that I don't really care what people think.......
12. How are you going to (or how did you) choose the clothes you're wearing today? What do they say about you in general or specifically how you're feeling today? ok....I'm wearing short denim shorts and a very old Polo shirt...mainly because as soon as I left my required school mtg I changed outta my work capris and dress shirt into this super casual outfit so I could finish packing for our last vacation and then sit on my deck in the sun......

See you sometime late next week....I am done blogging to go and enjoy some more of Cape Cod and this time with my best friend and her family joining us......we plan on having loads of fun and fellowship before school begins next week! Enjoy the end of summer everyone!

I think it's nearly unanimous that we don't get Twitter. Must be a young person's version of blogging.
