The side of the ship says "Mayflower"!
My husband and I and daughters had a marvelous time of rest, relaxation and reflecting with his side of the family.
As I wrote previously, 12 of us headed out to serve the needy on Thanksgiving day. My mother-in-law had a bad cold and didn't want to infect people so stayed behind with my husband's youngest sister and her husband and son. Those 4 stayed in the beach house while the rest of us headed out to the church where the needy where being served a wonderful Thanksgiving feast, prepared by local church members. I am going to show some pictures in another post.
For now, while I wait to get ready for church, I want to give glory to God for answered prayer.
My step-niece was contemplating getting an abortion last week. Well, she is NOT getting one as of yesterday. She is only 18....but..has decided to keep her baby. I cannot go into details here, but although she is not a blood relative of my husband's side of the family, she IS like family to us. We care for her immensely and are very concerned about some life choices she is making. However......our prayers have been answered and she is NOT getting the abortion. GLORY TO GOD! This is a direct answer to prayer. God is amazing.........
So..now I face the tasks of returning to our daily lives, work, school, starting to decorate for the Christmas holidays, attending school concerts, attending 3 parties in the next 2 weeks, plus a wedding reception at church on the same day as one of the parties...yikes..the busy season is in full swing.
But...after this long weekend of rest and reflection, I have some things to share that the Lord has shown me regarding friendships, marriage, our Protector and Provider, and the future.
So...come on back in the next few days as I carve out some time for writing and sharing.
I hope all of you, here in the States, had a blessed Thanksgiving!
