"Skating" with God

Because Christmas is tomorrow and my family plans on spending the morning enjoying a leisurely breakfast, opening gifts, spending time together without electronics, and then partaking of our annual Christmas luncheon, I don't have much time to blog new posts or chat on Facebook!

We also have plans to travel north to the Lake George area and visit my youngest sister, her husband and 2 little girls.  I think the rest of my side of the family will be there as well (2 other sisters, husbands, parents).  Saturday brings a day of rest and relaxation and hopefully choosing the paint for our half bath as Dave is redoing it as part of my Xmas gift :)  I also have to spend time picking out a new sink, etc.  Sunday will bring church and hopefully some hiking if the weather holds out....I hope to hike with a good friend of mine who also likes to cross country ski and snowshoe....she might teach me!! (if the park has them to rent)....Monday brings me to the dentist chair to be fitted for a crown and bridge....I finally heard back from the dental insurance company and they informed me they would cover at least half the bill!!  Halleluia!!

So...blogging is on hold for a few days...but...I went back to the following post to read about how we need to stay synchronized with God....in our daily lives. I know that for my self, I am finding that the more I "skate" with my Lord, the more I want to share His treasures with my friends....I want to spend as much time with them as possible because life is so short here on this earth....and if God puts things in our path, or people in our path, we need to nurture those relationships or accomplish those tasks.......and how much eaiser it is IF we are in step with Him!!

Enjoy the holiday and remember to keep Christ in the center of your celebration!!
