Surprises

Wow....the Pastor of our church is starting a sermon series next week titled "Marriages that Last". ( Just in time, too, as I need to write a post for Marriage Monday next week!)

Now, Pastor K----and his wife are wonderful role models to my husband and I.
We love them dearly and think very highly of them and their marriage....we have learned alot from them!
We have attended Marriage workshops that they have hosted and they have been wonderful.  We always learned something new.

So...in my quiet time this afternoon I have been reflecting on my marriage (20 years come June 30th...thus the Paris trip!! :) ) and in thinking of the last 20 years, I have been reminded of all the different "seasons" we have been in.
And now that I participate in the monthly online "Marriage Monday" ministry that E-mom from Chrysalis blog hosts, I find that I think more and more often of the spiritual aspects of my marriage......and I look at my friends and family members' marriages.

One of my favorite Marriage Monday topics was  "The Surprise of Christian Marriage"......Click here to read it!

OH....and look at the prom dress that my Courtney found!

This was a TRUE blessing from the Lord:  it was originally $350 and we happened to be in the store yesterday when they were having a 50% off sale.  So...we got the gown and an accessory for under $200.!!!!!  She wanted a "Cinderella" style gown in Pink.  I just need a couple of alterations done and the kind ladies in the store gave us names of 3 women who live close to me who do alterations on prom gowns. (the store seamstress was all booked until end of June....) so....we are thanking God for this find!!

Courtney finds the perfect prom gown!!
(what a nice surprise!!)

ENJOY THE START OF THE WORK WEEK!

Scroll down for a yummy, quick recipe for dinner this week!

Oh my, she's gorgeous!!! You've raised a very feminine girl, and I commend you, Faith. She's very sure of her gender! :~D

Thanks for the MM shout out. It's going to be an interesting time, methinks. Getting ready to post the specific topic title soon.
Happy Monday! :~D

Hi E-mom: yes, courtney lives up to the definition of her name: queenly. She loves all things feminine...soooo unlike her little sis...altho Claire loves all things ballet...but for every day it is DENIM all the way! lol....

Can't wait to find out the exact topic! I am ready to write!!

What a beautiful dress and she looks absolutely lovely in it! Isn't it awesome when God brings a blessing like that. When we went looking for my Oldest Girl's grad dress, we were in the store when the owner called and said to put everything half off. Talk about God's timing. Because her dress was on a sale rack to begin we were able to get dress and shoes (which also went on half off) for less than $150.
