20 February 2011

I won't be on here much this week....we are on Winter Break.....at least in our part of NYS, all the schools are closed for the week.

We are heading to the North Shore of Boston to visit our teenager's college.  They are having an "Accepted Student Day" on Monday with all kinds of seminars for incoming freshmen and parents.  Even our tween will have planned activities....I was rather impressed with that!  So.....we'll be gone for a couple of days.....

and then.....I get to paint my living room!! Whoo hoo!!!  I decided I can't wait any longer for my husband to take the intiative or it will never get done.....so...Courtney actually told me she wanted to help pain and prep.  This will probably take 2-3 days of our week but that is ok!  I am totally going with a whole new color scheme although the furniture and most accessories are not changing.  I'll try to show a before and after pic but ....my laptop is still out of commission so not sure if I'll get those pics up or not.....

I have a cute pancake recipe I want to share that a friend of mine told me about. She said I could post the recipe....so that will be coming sometime later this week......it's a recipe that shouts "SUMMER" and the children will love it!

I will try to be back here for the Friday Fave Fives........and thank you to all of you who left me such encouraging words saying you are praying for my back!!  My back is fine now.....I think the new bed is really helping a great deal...there is NOTHING like a new mattress after 20 years!! lol.....all those ads for new mattresses  are not kidding....

Have a great week, everyone....if you are on "Winter Break" enjoy your time with your children and I'll see you later this week.........

So glad to hear your back is feeling better! It sounds like you have a very full week. We have a break from school this week here too. Monday is a holiday so I have that off but will have to work the rest of the week. I planned on painting our hallway and back entry way. Looks like we'll both be breaking out the brushes!

Hi Faith, sounds like you're in for a busy week. Good luck with your painting; we have to tackle that job in our bedroom! By the way, I got the cookbook and we have tried the french toast. It was so good. Enjoy your time in Boston!
