I am participating in Peggy's monthly daybook where women share about some of the simple things in their day......to find out more, simply click on the link above!
FOR TODAY, 1 August 2011
Outside my window...dusk is settling in, a warm breeze, humid....and my phlox is starting to bloom bright shades of pink
I am thinking...about the first payment due my daughter's college
I am thankful...for good friends who lift me up and help me pray
In the kitchen... coffee coolattas and fresh, ripe peaches
I am wearing...turquoise/black/white plaid bermuda shorts, black cotton Tee shirt, turquoise/silver bracelet, silver hoop earrings, silver anklet, silver toe ring
I am creating...a list of "treasures from God" in keeping with the One Thousand Gifts idea...I'm on #125
I am going...to a pretty mountain lake tomorrow with my 2 daughters for an afternoon at the beach
I am wondering... why it is so difficult for some women to let go of the past and move on in friendship...why it's so diffcult for some to forgive and forget....to not let Satan steal the joy....
I am reading...in Jeremiah from the Chronological Bible, a novel Sing You Home, and a non-fiction Christian book called The Scent of Water: Grace for Every Kind of Broken. I am also browsing through the latest issue of Adirondack Explorer.
I am hoping...to find good, local sweet corn at the farm stand tomorrow
I am looking forward to...Cape Cod in a couple of weeks!
I am hearing...my 2 daughters chatting and laughing together and the hum of the central air
Around the house... one load of laundry to fold, the front yard to mow, and photos to put in the photo box.
I am pondering... about what my small group will be studying this autumn...about things I want to change in the group, and things I want to keep....about who I might ask to be my prayer support as I lead.
One of my favorite things... playing mini golf with my family on a summer's evening
A few plans for the rest of the week: a trip to the bank for the first college payment; a trip to the lake; hair appointment for my oldest daughter; last minute shopping for her dorm room; an evening concert with my daughters at Saratoga Performing Arts Center to hear the Philadelphia Orchestra perform; a bike ride with my husband.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

Hi Faith,
So happy to meet you and thanks for your visit. Enjoyed your SWD and your book review as well. Love that idea! Thanks for sharing! Hugz!
Mmm... fresh peaches - my favorite!! Thanks for stopping by my daybook - have a great week!
I just made the payment today for my youngest daughter’s first semester at college. She’s just dual-enrolling though (still in high school) so the bill wasn’t too bad yet. My oldest just graduated from college in the spring, so no break for us! ha.
Friends who pray with you and for you – that’s the best, huh?
Thanks for sharing your Daybook.
My ears perked up at coffee coolatta. What is that?
I can hardly wait for the BC peaches to get here.
