Summer Book Review #7

So I just finished another book that I borrowed from the library.
I have read several of this author's books in the past, and have liked a few of them.
This one was.....different.
It captured my interest because it was set in Ireland and I like books that are set in Europe.

The title captured my attention as well.

However, this was not one of my faves by this author.

Summary:  A middle-aged mother from Canada is on vacation in Ireland.  Her husband was supposed to go with her for their 25th anniversary, but instead, divorces her.  Their daughter, 2 years previous, disappeared in a bay with her canoe, and is presumed dead.  Marcy (the mom) is determined that she is NOT dead.  They also have a son named Darren.  Marcy thinks she sees Devon, her daughter, outside a pub in a small city in Ireland while on a tour.  She immediately goes out to look for her but cannot find her.  The book basically centers around her search and the people she meets who all play a role in some way in her quest.

The book is an easy read.....I got bogged down towards the end and just wanted it to end.  The questions to ask your self is:  Is the woman she saw really her daughter and what is the disturbing truth she faces??

I give this book a rating of 6 on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best.

It is ok if you like weird mystery.  Appropriate for ages 16 and older.
