......tears filling...my eyes reading....ears hearing....discouragement, sadness, frustration.....from a friend and some situations she is dealing with.....
....my lips ask "why, God?" why is life so hard sometimes...why is parenting so hard...why does my friend...a hard-working single mom have to deal with these situations? Enough already!" Why do good people have to go through bad times? Why does a Christian mom who raised her children in the church have to see them make poor choices or experience hard times? I'm not a single mom, nor are my children in the same situation (just different ones) but I ask this.........
tears filling my eyes reading news.......my lips ask "why, God?" why do celebrity coaches turn their eyes rather than be courageous......why do men (and women) abuse children...why is there so much evil?.....my children are not victims of any kind of abuse, yet my lips ask this......
....tears filling....our eyes watching...ears listening.....war.....atrocities....the Hiding Place...courage, faith, perseverance.....horrible abuses to God's Chosen ones......our lips asking "Why, God?" why through the ages have Your chosen people suffered? I'm not Jewish but I ask this.........
.....tears filling my eyes as I explain The Hiding Place to my suburban- 21st century- 12- year- old daughter.....and tears filling as I explain that God is always good. God is always right. God does not make mistakes. God sees all.
God is Love. God's ways are not our ways. We might never understand certain things here on earth.

Amen Faith, you are such a good friend.
This post was encouraging in a difficult season.
I hear you! There is so much suffering around us.
I came across a quote today at Barbara H's blog, Stray Thoughts. It was something like, "we know we've been touched by grace when we mourn the fallen world we live in, rather than cursing it."
Mourning in Scripture is considered a good thing. Blessed are those who mourn...
A timely post, Faith!
Warm Hugs, e-Mom
dear readers: not sure why there is a big gap between some of my words...it is not intentional! :) thanks for your kind comments.....God's Love is DEEP!
Excellent post, Faith! Our God is good. It is sin that has caused hardship. I love Romans 8:37-39..."No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor LIFE, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Even "life" can't separate us from His amazing love...He is good.
Thank you for posting; great post!
Thank you for this beautiful post on a day when so many people I love are hurting. God is good all the time. Sadly, man is not.
