FOR TODAY 13 AUGUST

Outside my window... dusk is settling in and temperatures are cool enough to keep the windows open and the AC off.....

I am thinking... how beautiful the evening sky looks

I am thankful... for friends who pray for me

In the kitchen... Mexican Chicken and rice, steamed broccoli, raw veggie platter of local produce, watermelon, iced water with lemon slices

I am wearing... denim skort, lime green/white cotton shirt, tangerine polish on toes that are barefoot

I am creating... a cookbook for my oldest daughter

I am going... to bed earlier tonite!

I am wondering... when this back pain/sciatica will disappear!

I am reading... Mockingjay, the Book of Philippians, and the latest Simple and Delicious cooking magazine

I am hoping... to post a book review on here tomorrow

I am learning... how to do some back stretches and take it easy!

Around the house... packing being done by college girl, closet being organized by the junior high girl, towels waiting to be put away and a checkbook waiting to be balanced......

I am pondering... which book study to use in my small group for the new school year

A favorite quote for today... "a person who wholly follows the Lord is one who believes that the promises of God are trustworthy, that He is with His people, and that they are well able to overcome." ~Watchman Nee~

One of my favorite things... hugging my daughters

A few plans: a trip to the lake with my girls, 2 PT sessions, a grocery shopping trip, a trip to the library, and spending some time with my husband walking in the evenings...among other things!

This is where I spent the afternoon...with my 2 daughters....."back to school clothes" shopping!

ENJOY YOUR DAY!

I've been telling myself to go to bed earlier every nite this summer but I haven't made it so far. LOL.

I've got orange polish on too, Orange Pop it's called. Never thought I'd like it but I really do.

Hope this back pain is gone soon before school starts for you!

I made a cookbook for my daughters at Christmas time - it turned out to be a bigger job than I allowed time for!

I told myself yesterday I'd go to bed earlier but it didn't work out ...

I like that quote by Watchman Nee. Really believing that God will take care of us is key. It seems to take a long time to get to that point, but when you do, you have such peace!
