FOR TODAY 12 NOVEMBER 2012
Outside my window...we are enjoying a typical "Indian Summer" day: lots of warm, golden sunshine, blue skies, a slight breeze and warm temps of about 64 degrees (F)
I am thinking... about my dad and his meeting with the heart doctor today
I am thankful... for my 3 younger sisters and my 2 brothers in law, my 2 nieces and my 1 nephew and all my extended family on my mother's side. We are "there" for each other through these difficult days of grieving Mom's death.
In the kitchen... grilled Spicy Pork Chops, Tossed Salad, Poppy Seed Noodles, Peach Pie and fresh grapes for dinner tonite. Fresh baked Pumpkin Muffins that my 13 yr old just made!
I am wearing... black leggings, a flannel shirt, barefeet
I am creating... a photo calender for my husband
I am going... to the chiropractor later this week. The sciatica pain is back!
I am wondering... if my dad is doing ok in the hospital today
I am reading... an historical fiction book (Until We Reach Home) and InTouch devotional magazine. Am in the Psalms this week in my Women of Faith Bible
I am hoping... the sciatica clears up faster than the first time this summer
I am looking forward to... December and spending time with my dad and my younger sisters and their families
I am learning.... to be thankful and joyful in ALL seasons...even the difficult ones
Around the house... we have the day off from work so hubby is mowing the lawn (hopefully for the last time this year!), I'll do a little light vacuuming in the dining room and kitchen (being careful not to put further injury on my disc/back), and waiting for my groceries to be delivered.
I am pondering... the things I've been discussing in small group ministry...about going deeper with the Lord even with our everyday concerns
A favorite quote for today...
One of my favorite things... hugs from my 13 year old daughter
A few plans for the rest of the week: back to work tomorrow, chiropractic appointment, packing for our Thanksgiving trip, my daughter's musical audition
A peek into my day...
Deck Door open off family room so we can enjoy the warm temps and possibly eat lunch in the sunshine! |
HAPPY MONDAY, EVERYONE!

A loving supportive family is a true blessing to have. It's so good that you guys have each other to lean on in hard times.
Sorry that your back pain is trying to come back.
I think I'd like an invite for supper! Yummy! ;v)
Oh, to receive a hug from your thirteen year-old daughter! How lovely, Faith.
I hope you and your Dad both recover quickly. Again, sorry for the loss of your Mom.
Hugs, e-Mom
Hope that the chiro helps relieve your pain and that your dad gets some good news. ((Hugs))
