I'm joining Jerralea's Journey blog as we number gifts He's given us during the month of November. Each day I'll be sharing five things that I am thankful for. Doing that for 30 days will produce 150 things we are grateful for...and it's easy to find those gifts if we take a moment to look. You are welcome to join in! Just head over to Jeri's!
Things I am thankful for today............
- The Armed Forces that serve our country. My dad served during the Korean War and my oldest nephew served in Afghanistan. Twice. I never want to take our freedoms for granted because really.....our freedom is NOT free!
- Peppermint Mocha coffee.
- Visits with my dad. He lives a little over an hour away in central NY but I got to drive out there today to see him. He is very frail. It makes me sad. But I love that he knows the Lord and has been a born again Believer my entire life. So thankful for him.
- My sister Hope and her husband Donny. They built a little apt off the back of their house for Dad. They are doing the brunt of the work in caring for him. Neither one of them work full time outside the home and they don't have children so it does make sense that they offered to do this. It also makes me and my other 3 sisters very appreciative.
- My crockpot. I love using it on days I'm super busy or days when I know I'll be gone right up until dinner time. It's a life saver!
What are you thankful for today??

I am sorry to hear that your dad is growing frail, but I know how grateful you and your other sisters are that Hope and her husband are able to care for him.
Crock pots...what would we ever do without them?
I enjoyed reading here today, Faith.
Hi, Faithe,
My mother lives with me so I can understand the challenges that your family face. It is a blessing though so that she doesn't have to go to a facility of some kind.
I grew up in upstate NY, in Cobleskill (near Albany). A lovely place but I don't miss the winters!
I too am thankful for those who have served our country. You are right - freedom isn't free. Have a blessed day.
Hi Faith! So much to be thankful for! Thanks for these great posts that get us all thinking about our blessings.
