Wow....Friday crept up on me! It's been a busy week and one with major car problems that I won't bore you with. Hopefully, that will turn into a blessing somehow but for now...let's pause in our day and share FIVE FAVES from the past week. If you write a post, please do link it up with Susanne, our gracious hostess.
It's Thursday night, late and I"ve had a headache for the past 3 days. I'm only sharing FIVE FAVES via photos this week.
CLAIRE with Uncle Sam (a.k.a. Mr A her orchestra teacher!) at the VALLEY CATS GAME LAST FRIDAY NIGHT (our minor league baseball team for NY's capital region) |
RELAXING WITH A FIRE AND BOOK ON SATURDAY EVENING |
NIGHT ON THE DECK with a cocktail and a good book |
GIRLS BEACH DAY ON LAKE GEORGE AT BOLTON LANDING Eastern Adirondacks Courtney (my oldest) with Mady (my sister's youngest) Annual trip with my youngest sister Jill and her 2 girls and my 2 girls |
DINNER ON GLEN LAKE Faith (me) and Jill at this place waiting for a table for 8 (our sister Joy joined us and Jill's husband Mike..mine couldn't make it up) |
BONUS FAVE: Dave, my wonderful, hard working husband finished re-doing the shed and kayak rack in our backyard last Saturday (paint job compliments of our daughters). I am blessed! I love it.
KAYAK RACK FIXED with NEW TARPS |
SHED WITH NEW PAINT COLOR, NEW TRIM, AND DOORS |
And another fave: ice cream at a soft serve place in the southern ADKS that featured 61 flavors!! That's so unusual for soft serve!! I totally splurged and got a Mounds flavored ice cream. YES, it tasted just like a Mounds bar (candy I used to eat in college days). CHOCOLATE COCONUT!! It was divine.
and...saying "good bye" to my dear friend Carla....that's not the fave part...the fave is that she could squeeze me in at the local yogurt shop so I could give her a little going away gift....she is moving far south......I will miss her but treasure her friendship and our many hiking memories.

GO....ENJOY SUMMER!!! And find some blessings along the way..............

So sorry about your headache! Hope it goes away soon!
The relaxing with a book near the fire sounds like the best part of the week to me. Glad you had some fun outings and visits as well. The kayak rack and shed look good!
Sorry about your headache. Hope that goes away and soon!
Car troubles. Ugh. My hubby's little car has been in the shop for a month already! A whole month. Paying insurance and not being able to drive it. They're having trouble getting parts. But ask me how I love throwing money to the wind like that??!!
Love all your lake, fire pit and deck pictures. So relaxing! And of course, a good read is involved in there!
Headaches are dreadful ! Nevertheless it seems you had a nice week !
The new shed looks wonderful. I love the colors!
Hope your headache is gone now ...
I love the color of your shed! So different.
What a nice tradition you and your sister and your girls have. I think those kinds of things are so important to do.
Beautiful scenery at the lake!
61 flavours of soft serve? Oh, my. I would have to go and keep going until I tasted each one. Your choice sounds DELISH!
So glad you had plenty of time with books and water this past week. I hope your headache goes away and that this weekend was one of rest.
I love how so many of your faves involve family, friends and the outdoors--every week!

What a fun collection of photos from your favorite summer things this week. I'm sorry about the headache, but these have been such cheery images. That Mounds ice cream sounds delicious -- I love that combination!
