It's Friday....after a LONG week....I'm looking for things to be thankful for.....because even though the week was long and arduous, there are always things that God puts in our path to make us smile or find some inner joy.
I'm sharing FIVE of my FAVES from the week and linking up at Susanne's to join others in being intentional about giving thanks.

Apple Blossoms UNH @ Devine Hall 11 May 2019 |
- MOVED OUT! Friday evening after work, Dave and I drove up to NH to spend the night in Dover and the next morning we arrived in Durham to move Claire out of her dorm at UNH and back home for the summer. She is officially a college junior minus turning in two more ballet journal entries which are due by the end of the week. Year two just flew by! The move was not too bad and we had a glorious spring day. I'm especially thankful for the sunshine, warmer temps and these beautiful blossoms that were just outside her dorm.
- TULIPS! Claire handed me flowers before giving me a hug hello Saturday. For Mother's Day. I'm so thankful I get to be the mom of this ballerina girl. Tulips are my 2nd fave flower!

Totally vegan lunch! |
- MOTHERS DAY LUNCH! Mother's day was super special in many ways to me. A family I know at church whose twin boys just happened to be in my classroom last summer and one all year this past year, were dedicated at church. I was thrilled to see this. Then our youngest, Claire, drove us to Saratoga to this fave lunch cafe while Courtney sat shot gun so Dave and I pretended they were Uber drivers......silly stuff I know but so much fun. My lunch was absolutely delicious. It's pay by the weight of your plate; soup and dessert is separate. It's so affordable that we pile on the food. I'm thankful we had a nice relaxing day. I didn't want "stuff", I just wanted a good lunch at a fave cafe. I'm thankful for my 2 amazing daughters and that I get to be their mom. Hard to believe both girls are now in their 20s!
- AFTER WORK WALK! The students were dismissed a half hour early on Wednesday as all of us teachers and therapists had a required meeting at 1:45 in Colonie which is just south of where I live. The meeting ended early much to our surprise and it was the first sunny warm day since Saturday! I happened to have my sneakers in the car so drove to the bike path along the Mohawk River in my town of North Colonie where I ended up walking 2 miles. It was glorious! I saw many joggers, walkers and bikers. I'm so thankful I took the time before dinner to get in a fitness walk.
- SWIMSUIT SALE! This website was having a 50% off sale on all swimwear. I ordered a swim skirt and tankini top for our upcoming vacation because I haven't had a new one in several years. I'm very thankful for a good sale because good quality swimsuits are NOT inexpensive these days!
That wraps up my week of blessings........
and as the week progressed things improved.....
.........lyme disease flare up all gone!
.......observation of language lesson went well!
.....Courtney gave us free tickets for the 4 of us to go to a concert tonight!
HAPPY WEEKEND, EVERYONE!

I'm glad Claire's move went well and you had such a special Mother's Day! And that your Lyme's flare has subsided. Glad you found a great deal on a swimsuit, too!
I so remember those college moving days.... cherish them... have a wonderful last week of May!
Your week does sound very full! What a wonderful Mother's Day and you got to spend it with your girls!
The walk on the river sounds wonderful too.
And to get a deal on a swimsuit--I sure do know that they are not inexpensive. You don't want to know how much I had to pay for mine...
Happy Weekend!
Glad the move went well and that you had wonderful weather for it. The pretend Uber driver stuff was funny. That's what family memories are made of. Mother's day lunch and the day sounds like it was lovely. Cute swimsuit. I lucked out and landed a nice suit at Costco this year. I find swimsuit shopping very stressful.
