Maybe because it's college graduation time and as you read this post, Dave and I are on our way (early this morning) for New Hampshire! We will check in to our hotel in Portsmouth and text Claire that we have arrived. We will visit the ocean/Rye beach which I haven't seen in 2 years thank to covid. Then we will explore Portsmouth a bit in areas we haven't discovered yet and then head out to dinner. Claire will not see us again until after the graduation ceremony at 4 pm on Saturday because she has plans with friends for her last day on campus!! Sunday we will help her move out her apartment stuff into our cars and head back here to NY. I'm MOST THANKFUL we get to go to UNH, watch about 1000 seniors from College of LIberal Arts walk across the stage to receive their diploma, and be there IN PERSON. Because we are fully vaccinated we will not need to wear masks. It is most exciting!! I'm so thankful to God for this!
However, for now, I'm pausing to share FIVE of my FAVE blessings from the past week. I do this by linking up with Susanne at her blog. How about joining us?
- FIXED! Sunday evening I heard a very loud noise in our basement. It was like a banging sound. Dave was in the upstairs bathroom and I was in the kitchen, so I went down to investigate and it was coming from our sump pump which was bone dry! Dave had to crawl under the table it's under, unplug it and Monday morning called our plumber who couldn't come out until Wednesday. Thank God it didn't rain any of those days leading up to Wednesday. Not only did the plumber know the problem right away and was able to fix it, but he also agreed to look at our half-bath toilet to see why it was having trouble re-filling with water. He gave us a great deal on both jobs and we are most thankful our toilet flushes correctly again, and that our sump pump will turn off properly the next time it needs to.
- CHURCH LEADERSHIP: I am most thankful for our senior pastor and his wife, my friend Debbie. I had a nice conversation with her on Sunday after the 9 a.m service and it was just what I needed. We agreed to pray for one another about a couple of upcoming events for both of our families and this meant a lot to me. We are blessed to be in our church under their leadership. I never want to take them for granted.

- BONFIRE! Saturday evening was the perfect evening for our first of the season bonfire in our newly made firepit. Courtney had had plans with friends online but after roasting a marshmallow, decided to pull up a chair and join me for about 2 hours of talking and eating s'mores and drinking yummy cocktails. We had a blast. Dave started the fire for us and joined us for a half hour or so and then went into the house to do other things. It was a great way to spend the evening and I'm so thankful Dave finished the work on the firepit in time to enjoy a spring evening.
- BIKING! Saturday after dinner I went on a wonderful bike ride around my neighborhood. It was just so lovely. I then went down the road and over to the next development/neighborhood and back which only totaled about 6 miles but some of that is a hill so I felt like I had a great cardio workout. I tend to bike fast to get my heart rate up and my legs working. I'm thankful for my hybrid bike that can handle off road trails as well as suburban roads.
- VACCINATED! Everyone in the immediate family is now fully vaccinated. Dave and I finished up in mid-April, Courtney and Claire (at UNH) finished their 2nd dose on Friday. Only Dave and Courtney had reactions to the 2nd dose: fever, chills, upset stomachs, body aches. After about 12 hours both were fine. Claire only had leg aches and I only had some fatigue for a couple of hours. I am SO THANKFUL we are fully vaccinated and that we have our cards to show proof to get into certain places now without a mask.

Hi Faith. I am so excited to read about Claire's graduation when you get back! Have a great weekend. I love all of your faves this week. My prayers will go with you to New Hampshire. Virtual hugs from UT. I will email again later today. It's been a busy week! See you soon. :-)
What an exciting time for Claire! From your posts on fb her graduation looked wonderful! Hopefully the move back went nice and smooth. The fire pit looks so inviting. I've always wanted one. We've had crazy weather this week. Biking riding last week, snow this week.
