I just discovered this blog and this fun monthly meme. I think will do it twice a month. Today is the 2nd Saturday of April so I will do this on the 2nd and last Saturday of the month. You can learn more here!
S – Series you loved this month:
Because my oldest daughter and I loved Margaret Atwood's dystopian novel The Handmaid's Tale, we began to watch the series a couple years ago once it arrived on Hulu. This past month we finally got to Season 5. It's been fantastic! HIGHLY recommend you read the book first though and then read the sequel (The Testament)
A – Author you discovered:
I discovered Kristy Woodson Harvey. This book was beautiful. Loved it. Full review is here. I might check out some of her other novels and see if they are as good as this one was. From the appearance of the cover art, some look like romances which I'm totally not into but some look like ones I'd like. This one was a great read!
S – Song you couldn’t get enough of
Give it a listen!! You can't help but get into meditation and worship when you hear this!!
S – Surprise – Something that totally caught you off guard
Getting our number picked in the boat storage lottery at our fave state park about 35 minutes to the north of us! We can keep our kayaks there from April 15 to mid November and now I won't have to struggle with getting someone to help me get it on the car and I can just drive up a couple times a week to kayak by myself or with a friend or Dave when he's free. (He doesn't mind friends using his kayak). This was a pleasant surprise cause I rarely win anything! haha
