Sunday Stealin'

On this cool, rainy morning, as I wait to leave for church, I thought I'd participate in this week's meme.  I liked these questions.

I love you.

my daughters and the future

3. What is something you can never seem to finish?

Cleaning out the basement

4. What mistake do you keep making again and again?

Trusting certain relatives to keep their mouths shut/to not gossip

5. What’s the best thing you got from your parents?

my work ethic and my knowledge of Christianity

6. What’s the best and worst thing about getting older?

Best thing: I no longer care what other people thing

Worse thing: I can't hike up super steep mountains any longer and I'm no longer earning money from my career

7. What do you wish your brain was better at doing?

math

8. If your childhood had a smell, what would it be?

Balsam and white pine; lemon pledge

9. What have you created that you are most proud of?

my two daughters (ok, well along with Dave's help and God's!!)

10. What were some of the turning points in your life?

accepting Jesus as Savior of my life; leaving a toxic boyfriend;  getting counseling for an emotional issue; getting married; birthing 2 babies; getting my Masters degree in EdPsych/Special Ed; Finding our church Grace Fellowship in 2005

11. What song or artist do you like but rarely admit to liking?

Johnny Cash

12. What small impact from a stranger made a big impact on you?

having someone pay for my Starbucks order in the drive through and a complete stranger once told me I had very polite, well behaved toddlers (in a grocery store!)

13. As you get older, what are you becoming more and more afraid of?

I really am not fearful of anything but I pray I don't get dementia to the point where I need a care facility

14. What are some of the events in your life that made you who you are?

the break-up of a long term boyfriend; marriage to Dave; becoming a mom; a personal relationship with Christ/God; knowing my spiritual temperament is Naturalist; counseling for survivors of childhood s*x abuse

15. What could you do with $2 million to impact the most amount of people?

this is tough because I try to support many causes financially.  I guess I would gift it to Love146 the Organization that is a non-profit and rescues people from human trafficking/s*x slave industry

I enjoyed these questions today!

Math (or maths as I call it in the UK) is something that you either have a talent for or not. I know some really clever people who just don't get maths. I love it.

:o)
