I was waiting for the fire to die down last night and thought I'd write up this week's Sunday Stealin' questions. I liked these and you can join in by going to this blog.
1. The phone rings. Who do you want it to be?
My friend Cheryl S
2. When shopping at the grocery store, do you return your cart?
Absolutely. Unless someone is getting out of the car next to me, and I offer it to her/him.
3. In a social setting, are you more of a talker or a listener?
I tend to do both. With close friends or family, I tend to be a talker. With more casual acquaintances or certain extended family, I tend to be a listener.
4. Do you take compliments well?
Sometimes. If I know the person is being sincere.
5. Do you play Sudoku or Wordle?
I suck at math. I play Wordle daily with my morning coffee.
6. Did you ever go to camp as a kid?
yes! My parents owned a camp in the southern Adirondacks so we went there until they sold it when I turned 17. I also went to "church camp" in Saratoga every July for 10 days from age 7-17.
7. Could you date someone with different religious beliefs than you?
I dated an agnostic once but no, if I wasn't married, I probably would only date a person who was Christian or Jewish. I do have a lot of friends and neighbors who represent Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Muslim. I also had a lot of students who were being brought up Hindu or Muslim. I have a couple of Atheistic friends and a niece who is agnostic. My paternal great-grandmother followed a certain Native American religion that was very nature based. I liked parts of that.
8. Would you rather pursue or be pursued?
It depends on who or what was pursuing me.
9. Have you ever fired a gun?
yes, my dad when I was about 14, let me "help" him shoot a pistol at our camp when he was doing target practice. I am rather anti-gun so definitely don't own one.
10. Would you rather dine at Olive Garden or Panera?
Neither, really, because I live so close to Albany and Saratoga where there are so many good restaurants that are not "chains". But if I have to choose between these two, I would prefer Panera because their salads are super good. Plus I've been to Rome (Italy, not NY) and once you've had Italian food in Italy....well....you just can't do Olive Garden. It's so....fake.
Happy Sunday!

There's an Olive Garden on Wolf Rd in Colonie. I think I've been there once in well over 5 years.
