Where does the time go? Can't believe it has been a week since last posting things I'm thankful for! Today's list is short but sweet:
- my 14 year old daughter Courtney. Especially her babysitting skills. Dave and I go out tonite to a swanky restaurant for his company xmas party. It is a formal affair and loads of fun. I get to mix with several Christian friends I only see twice a year (at the company summer bash and the xmas party...sometimes at a church event). He works with several Christians from local churches.....so...we are finally able to have Courtney babysit her sister while we enjoy an evening out.....her rates are cheaper, too! AND we don't have to go pick her up and then take her back late at night......thank you, Lord, for the blessing of a wonderful, responsible daughter!
- our youth leaders at Grace.....they do so much with these teens and pour into them spiritually and emotionally. They are so appreciated!
- our new pastor for our new satellite church that will be opening somtime in 2008 in a town a bit north of here! Our church has really grown (about 2100 people attend each weekend: Sat. evening service and 2 on Sun.). We just hired a new pastor and his wife and children to lead our new campus. We also had the pleasure to hear him preach for the first time at last weekend's service. It was excellent and he is a welcome addition to the body! Thank you Jesus!
- my friend Judy...she makes me laugh, makes me cry, has always been there for me, we have both been through some "stuff" in the past and wow....I praise God for his faithfulness and mercy in our lives.....and I am thankful she loves her church and thankful for her daughters who were some of our best babysitters!!
