Today I am thankful for:
- a warm house. Many people struggle with keeping their homes warm enough this winter on their budget. Many people don't even have a home! I am thankful for this house that I so often take for granted and I am thankful that we can pay our utilities bill. I am also thankful that my children, my self and my husband are learning ways to keep the heat in, the cold out, as many things unplugged as possible to conserve the energy we do have.
- the senior high youth group coordinator at my church (thanks, Rachael!). She keeps us posted on changes going on in Life::redefined, she sent us an awesome packing list for this weekend's youth convention and she mails the teens various things to encourage them, help them remember events, etc. What a blessing she is! (And she is a volunteer...she gets no pay for this role!)
- Youth for Christ. Need I say more? Ok, I will. They arrange a huge senior high school youth convention every January for teens to grow closer to the Lord. They provide various workshops, a praise band (this year it is Isaiah 6 whom we have heard before...our former church had them in concert once). My oldest is so excited to be going this weekend with her friends and youth group leaders. We are praying that their lives will be changed as they commit to grow closer to their Savior.
- for my new cotton flannel pj pants and cotton knit top. I got them at 70% off yesterday at a local clothing shop. The original price was $40 for the pj pants and $29.99 for the top. I am so thankful for these after xmas sales! And boy do they feel good on a nite like this. It is only about 18 degrees right now. brrr.....
- for the Scriptures. I turn to them often and try to "hide them in my heart". I am thankful that the Lord gave us His Word to help us grow, to encourage us, to comfort us, to guide us.
- for my coffee maker. I can prepare coffee before going to sleep and set it to begin brewing at 6 a.m. My husband and I can wake up to a wonderful smell and the coffee all made. Ah....life's little pleasures...gotta love 'em!

I am thankful for my family. My family here at home, my extended family and my friends that feel like family.
I am very blessed!
I am also thankful that I have taken up this blogging thing. I LOVE it. I have met so many interesting people. Like yourself! It's just neat how you can see each others thoughts and take a look into each others daily lives.
Have a great day!
