17 March 2008

I just received this from my friend Connie-Marie. Thank you to my friend in Alaska!
And it made my day!
Was feeling kinda of "down". Unusual for me. I think it is because I am a little worried about my husband and a personal struggle he is going through right now. I am taking it to the Lord in prayer and trying to remember not to worry but to pray with out ceasing but sometimes: it's hard!

I also think I am just exhausted from the weekend and the musical my youngest was in at church. Since we have 3 services, this means they had to perform the hour long show, 3 times!
Tiring. Plus I know I am a little down because we had invited some families we know who attend a different church. We thought they would like to see the musical because they are also involved in their own drama/dance ministry or have young children who would enjoy the show. We had recommended the Sat. evening service since we knew they would have their own church service for Sunday morning. We mailed out the invites about 3 weeks ago. We only heard back from 1 friend out of 6 that we sent invites to. Maybe I am being too sensitive but....it seems to me that it is rude not to rsvp and my husband had said this would happen. I was hoping he was wrong. Ah well.....I'm tired. Tomorrow is a new day. And I will be posting pics of my latest "treasure". So come on back Tuesday to see some great pics!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all my Irish friends!

Hey Erin: yeah, you have definitely been in that "place" way too many times! Hang in there! Well, like dear abby always says: people who don't at least acknowledge the invite are just plain rude or clueless!

Hi Faith, I am happy that the friendship badge cheered you up. Being online can be encouraging and I'm glad this was for you.

So sorry about the friends that could not make it to your daughters musical. Sometimes people just get so busy, and once home it's just where they want to be sometimes.

I hope you keep your eyes on your blessed Savior, especially this week. He is our Friend that sticks closer than a brother. When I have gone through this same feeling that you describe, I've told myself that I've been such a friend to Jesus Christ myself, one that continually forgets that He is always with me, highly desiring my attention, but I let other things interfere.

May Christ just fill up your heart with His incredible peace and love today!
