I ended up enjoying my time with her though and the Lord showed me that these moments are precious....they are only little for a short time.
Low 60's on Saturday with a perfect blue sky until late afternoon when it became a bit cooler and cloudy...but...no rain! So we were able to have our first "backyard s'more tasting" of the season, after dinner. We sat around the firepit until about 9 pm....I lingered a little longer than the girls....after eating several marshmallows they decided to head inside to leave me with some much needed quiet time! I was able to chat with a friend on the phone and then just meditate for awhile about some things. My husband doesn't like sitting around the firepit unless we are camping...then he really enjoys it...I had it all to my self!

Your Mother's Day sounds lovely.
I have the same thing with my girls being 5 years apart. The younger wants to get right in there with the older girls when they are over.
I'm glad you had a nice relaxing Mother's Day.
Sitting by the fire...all by yourself, talking to a friend on the phone sounded sooooo relaxing.
How sweet of them to fix you breakfast and then taking you to lunch on top of that. They did a great job of making their dear Mommy feel special on her special day!!
Have a good day Faith!
Faith, sounds like you had a great day. I did too. I would have loved to join you at the fire pit for "meditation" time. That's right up my alley.
Blessings!
THANKS so much for stopping by my blog and for the sweet comment you left. I'm sorry it took me so long to get back with you. I've been spending a lot of time outside (gardening and flowers and LOTS of yard work... LOL!) Sometimes a gal just needs to keep busy. ;-)
Anyway.. I'm glad to hear that you had such a great Mother's Day! It sounds PERFECT! Mine was pretty nice too. It's always hard to face holidays without Brent (our oldest son) but I'm SO THANKFUL for all the blessings I have as we look forward to our reunion in HEAVEN!
Have a GREAT DAY! =-)
S'mores! I can't believe it's almost that time of year!
