And Summer Vacation Begins!!

Finally!
Summer vacation has officially started here in the Capital Region of NYS as of 11: 30 a.m. this morning!
School is finally out until September 4th!

Claire will be walking in from the bus in about 10 minutes.
Courtney had her last exam yesterday a.m.

Tomorrow we will sleep in and have a huge pancake breakfast.
I will be able to power-walk or bike in the early a.m. hours while the girls sleep.

And Friday we will head to the lake if the weather holds up.

Today is one gorgeous day!

Let the fun, relaxing days of summer begin!!

(and why did I sign up to work for Drama Ministry Camp????....oh well, that doesn't happen until mid-July....I have a few days of freedom before swimming lessson begin and summer school starts).

For now....around our house....we are gonna have us some fun!!

Bless your heart, dear Faith.

Our kids are already moaning that summer vacation is almost over around here. We've been out since May 23 and they go back Aug. 1.

Right now we're trying to squeeze out every bit of summer relaxation like those last drops of juice from a too-ripe orange.

Have a blessed weekend and enjoy those pancakes!

Hi Pam:

Do you get out early and go back early because you all have such hot weather down there? Just curious.

My kids were totally done today too! I wish my days were as relaxing sounding as yours! Why oh why did I ever quit the school district? LOL. Unfortunately I do have to work most of the summer but I am taking a long weekend this weekend. Tuesday is Canada Day so I took Monday off too. I hope it's really nice so I can take the kids to the lake.

I found a Wordless Wednesday pic I know you'd love:

I guess that's part of it, but going back the beginning of August is a bear. It's still extraordinarily hot then . . . and continuing through most of September, too, and it just feels like summer is being cut short every. single. time.

They are passing a new law though, so this will probably be our last year to start before the last week of August.

I'll have my Thanks Tank up later this morning.
