Have to keep this short and simple.
Good to be back if only for a couple of minutes.

Here's my list for the week:
  • Rain! We have had rain every day this week except for Monday which was hazy, hot and humid. BUT...I am thankful for the rain because we had to be inside the church all week from 8-3 for HizKidz Praise! Music Camp so no one complained about not being able to go swimming or biking, etc. AND... the grass is so green, now!
  • Excellence in Serving: I am so thankful that my church stresses excellence in all things. Every single ministry I have been involved in so far (5 different ones over the last 3 years) does things excellently. It is expected. It is a true pleasure to work alongside members of a team who love the Lord deeply with all their hearts, who have a willingness to serve, and who want to share the gospel!
  • For the director of the HizKidz Ministry: she has done an amazing job with these 95 kids who have been at camp all week (2 dropped out). We have a great show that will be performed tomorrow nite and the children have worked hard. But the director has really worked hard to keep it all together and organize all the volunteers. I loved serving this week and I hope to as long Claire stays in the ministry.
  • For the assistant director of HizKidz Praise!: we had dress rehearsal today. I tested my camera during the last focus rehearsal.....worked fine. For 3 pictures. Then up came the warning "Empty battery". ARGH.....but....G--- happened to have a battery charger with her! ( who carries those around???? Well, she does!!). So I was able to charge my batteries before dress rehearsal (they died after about half the show so I am recharging them overnite...they usually need about 12 hours)...but...I was able to get most of the dances that my daughter is in AND I can finish up tomorrow during our last rehearsal.
  • The faithfulness of God. I read a blog today about emotional pain and how we can be grateful for it. We may never understand it but it is during those times, or in the midst of healing from those things that caused the pain, that we can draw closer to Christ and perhaps help someone else. God is faithful in His mercy and goodness. We may not always understand His ways.....but...He never leaves us...He is faithful!

Yeah for the battery charger lady!

A wonderful list, Faith, in the midst of your busy week.
