Monday Musings 5

FOR TODAY

Outside my Window..hazy, hot and humid; partly sunny

I am thinking...of all the things I need to do to prepare for my oldest daughter's birthday party on Friday

I am thankful for...central air conditioning!

From the kitchen...slow-roasted cream of chicken, parmesan/romano rice, leftover 3-bean salad, steamed peas (for the girls), fresh Bing Cherries

I am creating...the scrapbook for Claire with her dance show pics...this is an ongoing project for the month of July

I am going....hiking on Saturday, weather permitting

I am wearing...earth tone plaid bermuda shorts, tan capsleeved, scoop-necked shirt, barefeet with ankle bracelet, toe ring and apricot polish

I am reading...same books as last week (see sidebar reading list) plus a book about the blind daughter of John Bunyan to my 9 yr old.

I am hoping...the high humidity breaks by Wed.

I am hearing...the hum of my gas dryer and the hum of the other computer that my oldest is just about to use

Around the house...pile of rugs for our camper need to be sorted through, bedrooms to be vacuumed, newspapers brought to recycling bin

One of my favorite things...Sweet tea from McDonalds (yeah I know, I hate McD's but the sweet tea is awesome and only $1.00!)

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week..order the ice cream cake for my daughter's 15th birthday party; take the girls to the town pool on Wed., my 6 month dental check-up is Thurs.; host Courtney's party on Friday nite

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

Yes, amen to central air-conditioning!! I'm in the desert so summer time would be miserable!!

Cherries-haven't had great ones since we lived in Mich. Guess maybe they spoiled me.

Thanks for sharing,
Robyn

We don't have central air conditioning, but we do have a window A/C in the living room. I'm thankful for that!

I agree - McDonald's sweet tea is great, and a lot of drink for $1.00!

Does it feel funny to wear a toe ring? Or do you just get used to it? I've never tried one.

I enjoyed your Daybook. You're welcome to come and see mine.
