It was a busy week but a good one. We are definitely in a good "back to school, work and church activities" routine. Both girls are now taking violin lessons....little sister is so thrilled to be taking the same instrument as big sis and loves the attention big sis is giving her with all the tips of practicing, etc. weather was perfect this week and so far the weekend is glorious!
This is a little late but I don't think Susanne will mind!
So....my five favorite things from this past week are as follows:

This book: Sacred Pathways by Gary Thomas
I've just started it and I am hooked! Why?
Go to this post to learn why I love this book!
I was wanting a new scent and there it was!
It is not too strong yet leaves a nice scent throughout the house.
I have it in a small, glass hurricane jar on a shelf in my kitchen.
It makes the house cozy on these cooler evenings.
And it smells a little bit like the woods!
We are fortunate to live close by to a large farm that sells
wonderful, fresh produce and harvest time is the best time!
My favorite this week have been the cucumbers, corn,
tomatoes, melons, and squash.
These white on white Sketchers for biking/walking.
My new favorite shoe for my power-walking and bike rides.
Comfy, affordable (only $55.00) and they go with everything from shorts to capris
to yoga pants to jeans. I have even worn them with a denim skort.
This blog award!
This made my day!
It is from my friend over at Jesus and Dark Chocolate.
She is truly a kindred spirit....she is also in a career like mine,
she loves the Lord and her family.
She feels close to God when out-of-doors.
Someday I hope to meet her and if not....
we'll meet in heaven!

It's never to late to jump in! What brand is that candle? It sounds like something that I would love. Congrats on you blog award. Those Sketchers are cute, cute, cute. And the price is great. Around here Sketchers are much more than that!
Hi Susanne:
The brand of candle I bought is "village candle". They sell them at our local grocery store (Hannaford). I think I fixed the link on your site to here.
:) How fun!
I LOVE getting fresh fruits and veggies!!! Especially corn and fresh berries! :)
One of my favorite things this week was actually getting some clearance flowers today. I had been wanting some to plant in a small bed in our front yard, but could not really bring myself to spend the money. Then today, we were at Lowe's and found the perfect flowers on clearance for $0.25 for a small pot! They were still in excellent health, just a few dead blooms that could be picked off. I got enough flowers for only $1.50!!! I was SOOOO excited. My husband thought I was too funny getting excited over those flowers, but to me, things like that are a hug from the Lord! He is so personal and so tender! :)
Blessings!
K :)
