It's Friday and time for the Fave Five things of the past week.
My most fave thing was accomplishing most of what I set out to do because of my blogging break. I finished up the book and I do plan on doing a book review for you all but that will probably have to wait until after Thanksgiving vacation. Yes....we are going away. But hey....we haven't been away since mid-August! This is good for us!

If ya wanna play, just head over to Susanne's to learn all about this. And come back on Monday to hear about just why we are eating Thanksgiving at Plimoth Plantation. It is NOT just because my husband's great-great-great-times 3 grandfather and uncle came over on the Mayflower and Speedwell. Although that certainly plays a huge part!

AND: Check out a fantastic post at my husband's blog found here.
The topic is grace and stupidity.

My Five Favorite Things from this past week are:

This was my fave picture all week!
My daughter sent it to me from her Facebook album.
A church friend of hers took it.
They are standing just outside the Youth Center.
My daughter (Courtney, 15)
is the one
on top of the guy's shoulders.
His name is Barrett. He is 17.
The other girl is one of her BF's, Shauna.
They all are in life::redefined

and attend Emerge at church
each Sat. evening.

The look of joy on their faces
and just seeing
teens having fun
is one of my fave things!

My fave hot drink this week,
in the evenings while reading or watching some tv,
has been this mint tea.
It is caffeine free and works well for hormonal headaches
of which I had 3 this month.

One of my favorite winter lotions is this one from Avon.
I like how it doesn't feel greasy on my legs and arms.
It is great for feet, too!
And now that the heat is on most of the time in the house,
and it is "dry-er",

skin needs to be moisturized!

Frost on the leaves
that are left in our yard.

I actually enjoyed walking
in the late afternoons this week
in the crisp, clear, cold air.
Skies were a vibrant blue.

And my last fave thing of the week:
This simple Bible verse from Psalm 68: 19
"Praise be to the Lord,
to God our Savior,
who daily bears our burdens."

The verse doesn't say He sometimes bears our burdens. He daily bears them.
We need to let go of them, of course.
And I did. I was struggling with something recently regarding my oldest daughter.
It is not a big thing to her. It is to me. I might be free to share it at some point. Not now.

However, please know....no matter what you might be struggling with, no matter what burdens you might be carrying, know that the Lord God Almighty, who loves you unconditionally, who created you and gifted you, will carry those burdens for you. Praise be His Name!

Enjoy your weekend......

I just read your comment on my blog. You mentioned that you did your undergraduate work in Rochester, well...I went to the University at Albany for my undergrad!! Isn't that funny??

I haven't been to Albany in many years. I would love to go back soon and see what has changed.

Nice to "meet" you :) It's a small world!
