Today we celebrate Abraham Lincoln's birthday. 200 years ago today he was born.
In my opinion, he was the greatest president to ever reign over the United States.
When I was little I used to love reading biographies of his life and presidency.
The Civil War era was and still is one of my favorite time periods to study, watch movies, and read about.
If you have young children, watch the movie "The Littlest Rebel" with Shirley Temple. It is an excellent movie and Abe Lincoln is wonderfully portrayed. My 10 year old still enjoys this movie as do I!
