Five Favorites for Friday!

Yeah! It's Friday!! and here are my five favorite things from this past week.......thank you to Susanne from Living to Tell the Story for hosting this each week!! She is a blessing to me.......

This song by 10th Avenue North (contemp Christian group I just discovered this summer!) titled "Beloved". It is from Song of Solomon and speaks of our love relationship with Jesus.......the music and lyrics are just beautiful. The meaning is even more beautiful!

This purple wildflower...the only one left from my trellis box!

Isn't this little scarecrow adorable?? I have had this little guy for about 20 years and I love it! He comes out in the beginning of October and stays up through November. I recently added the fake pumpkins.....they were only $1.00 each at a local craft store. This arrangement sits on a shelf in our family room and adds a bit of autumnal color......now...if I only had more time to actually SIT in my family room!!

This is another one of my favorite things for autumn. I keep pinecones in this pewter bowl all year long. I also keep the red/white berry wreath around the bowl because it goes so well with the theme and color scheme of our family room. I like to add these silk maple leaves, however, once October arrives.....it brightens up the bowl for autumn.......once December comes, I replace the leaves with gold pinecones nestled among the real pinecones. It's a simple way to decorate! And I am all about SIMPLE!

This quote I found online....I can't remember the name of the website but I was searching for quotes on peace, forgiveness, and friendship. I just love how true this quote is! Even while in the "storms of life" we can have a calmness to our spirit and.....if we are believers, we can have the joy of the Lord....even while grieving or dealing with past issues that have brought emotional pain or feelings of rejection, betrayal, etc. There is nothing like the Peace that Jesus brings!!

I love my fall decorations! I think I like decorating for fall more than I do for Christmas, it seems like you just put the Christmas decorations up and then are taking them down a few weeks later!

Love that quote. I'll have to add it my quote book.

Lovely color of clematis. Mine are long gone but my petunias and geraniums are valiantly hanging on even though we've gone to around -4C overnight (about 28*F or so).

Love that little scarecrow and I think the pumpkins really add to it. Reminds me I need to put out my scarecrow onto the front step.

Beautiful song. I've never heard of this group until you shared about them.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog! I believe I will take your cue and read all of the chapter in Isaiah as well this morning as I'm having kind of a backwords day.

I love your quote and your naturalist comment in all about me!
