It's Friday!
Time to reflect back on the week, find 5 favorite blessings and share about what made them special! Link up with Susanne if you want to participate....and leave a comment so I'll come and read about your faves!
I just finished one full week of being back in the classroom, working with special needs elementary students. This past week has felt like a month! More on that for another post....I can still find 5 faves, and they are all varied, yet special in their own way!

- FAMILY BREAKFAST! Our youngest, shown here at age 10 (she is now 12) has been doing a great job getting up at 5:45 a.m to get ready for junior high. And she is eating breakfast with Dave and I. Although it is early (I force myself to eat!), I do enjoy this 15 minutes we have around the table, chatting, reading the paper, and talking about the currant events. This helps her with the social studies assignment, (they have to be prepared to discuss what is going on in the world/USA) and it helps Dave and I to connect with her before we all rush off to our various jobs/school. Family time in the morning...always a fave!

- CINNAMON SPICE COFFEE! yummy. The perfect coffee for last evening after dinner when the air turned chilly.......love a good steaming mug of coffee...definitely a fave!

- TEXT MESSAGE FROM SPECIAL PERSON! I received a special text message from my pastor's wife. I am not going to share what she wrote, but suffice it to say that it was special to me, perfect timing, and exactly what I needed to see. I can finally share some personal things again with a new friend, now that my heart is healed from some trepidation of getting too close to someone again. God's love and healing is amazing... and a new friendship... that's always a fave!

- WALKING WITH HUBBY! I couldn't believe it when Dave agreed to go on walking with me before dinner on Sunday evening. I loved every minute...we walked all through our neighborhood at a pretty good pace, talking about our oldest daughter at college, our dreams, and about our time now with our youngest. And we were discussing something rather important when all of a sudden I received the text message (mentioned above) and well.....it was just perfect timing...God's timing! I plan on having many more of these walks this autumn...and maybe even into the winter! We both need the workout and the "talk time"....walking with my spouse for life and my friend for eternity..always a fave!
- LUNCH AND QUIET TIME ON THE DECK now this is something I just love....coming home from work, while Dave is still at work, and Claire is in school, to a quiet house, still neat from the morning pick-up, and a light lunch on the deck in the early afternoon sunshine. I've been relaxing for a few minutes with a book or my Bible, and a glass of iced tea or coffee and just getting re-charged from the hectic morning at work, for my afternoon of housework, errands, and being the taxi driver for Claire's activities. It's been a lovely week, other than one day of rain, for sitting outside....I'm looking forward to a nice autumn with many more quiet times on the deck...always a fave!
Those are my 5 faves from the past week. I also must include God's Word. Reading in the Psalms has strengthened me this week...and given me some new insights into what God is trying to tell me at this season of my life. I hope to post some of that in the coming days.

Nice, Faith!! I especially love the walk with husband and coffee faves!! I love the hint of Fall in the air and all that comes with it!!
Happy times... as always, I love your joi de vivre! (Ooh la, la. La Tour d'Eiffel!)
Happy FFF, Faith.
Cinnamon Spice Dunkin'? Oh, my -- I'm there! Have to look for this!
Do you only work 1/2 day? (Lunch on the deck made me wonder.) Your family breakfast is so great, Faith! And loved the words from a sweet friend and His healing in your heart.
Have a great week!
Lunch on the deck sounds absolutely lovely. There is so many wasps around here right now that that is something that is gone for the year.
You know I'm all about the coffee. Sounds yummy.
Getting up at 5:45 is a great feat at any age. Congrats to your daughter. Glad your pastor’s wife was so thoughtful to send you the sweet text. Those are ALWAYS welcome, from anybody, anytime!
Hope you keep up your walking better than we have. ha. We walked twice this week.
