Diary of 5 #1

So I found this new meme from Peggy's site "The Diary of 5"She also hosts the Simple Woman Daybook.  I really like this particular meme better for 2 reasons:  I love playing around with photography to find interesting things to show and I find that this is shorter to write than the Daybook. I will do the Diary of 5 every Wednesday (or Tuesday night to post on Wednesday!) and the Daybook will be done either the 2nd Sunday or Monday of the month.  Feel free to join in by heading over to Peggy's.  Just click on the blog name in the first sentence!

It's about 3:34 pm and I've been home from my teaching job as TA in an Integrated 1st/2nd grade class for about 30 minutes.  Dinner plans are under way, and a load of laundry is in the washer.  I'm taking some time to do this exercise of the mind....and senses!!

DIARY of 5 for Wednesday 4 January

I SMELLED COFFEE
(European Roast by Cafe Milatta)
brewing at 6 a.m.

I TASTED GRAPEFRUIT
tangy, tart, and ruby-red
for breakfast

I SAW FRIENDS
my college daughter, Courtney (on the l)
and her friend Brea hanging out in Courtney's room

I AM HEARING ON MY IPOD
this marvelous cd by Audrey Assad

I AM FEELING COZY THICK SOX
on my feet this bitter- cold,
"no snow on ground" winter afternoon

What about you?

What are you sensing this day??

There is a warm dog next to me, a sweet little chihuahua and one on the little dog bed next to me on the other side - this is good

I'm feeling and hearing 100km an hour winds whipping around my house and rattling the gutters! Sheesh. Seriously crazy around here. Warmer yesterday here than in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. What's up with that?

I'm smelling nothing (have a cold); tasting water (drinking); seeing, listening to and feeling my dog on my lap, lol

This is neat, Faith!!!
