It's April!! And so pretty outside my window with all the green popping out.
I am rejoicing in all the new life around me as we prepare to celebrate the New Life we have in Christ because He is Risen!!
Let's take a moment to reflect back on the week, find five things that blessed us, and link up with Susanne from her site. Do you think you can find 5 faves today??

- LOVE LANGUAGES CONFERENCE!! Last Saturday, Dave and I had tickets to see Dr Gary Chapman at our church. He was in town to do the love languages conference geared for married couples, engaged couples, or any one who wanted to learn more about meeting the love language of their spouse, children, etc. For those of you who know me or who've read this blog before, you know I am passionate about knowing and meeting the love languages of my children, Dave, and my friends and extended family. I have brought the concept into the classroom at the pregnancy center and now in the current public school classroom. I am always teaching others how to figure out the love language of their loved ones. If you have never read the book The Five Love Languages for Children or the one for married couples, I highly recommend it. You'll be glad you did! It was amazing to hear/see Dr Chapman "in person".....seeing a fave author is always a fave......

- Fresh Grapefruit! I stopped buying this about 3 weeks ago, and wham...this week I've had a horrid sorethroat and body aches....I swear it's because I stopped the grapefruit. I even did a "test" for the last year. The last time I was sick with a cold was February 2011. I added extra grapefruit to my diet along with other fruits in the summer months. No illness at all! (toe jams from hiking down steep mountains doesn't count because that is not really an illness!). Stopped eating grapefruit, didn't replace it with oranges or kiwi and voila....sick most of this week. I'm back to eating grapefruit and it has felt so good going down my throat! Fresh fruit is always a fave......

- DOWNTON ABBEY! A new passion! Dave and I have seen many FB friends comment on this show. Since we rarely watch TV during the work week (too busy) we save any movies, etc for the weekends. This past weekend, we finally decided to see if Netflix carries Downton Abbey...and...they do!! We've seen the first 4 episodes (each episode is about an hour) and we are hooked! I LOVE the character development, the British accents and the banter between the elite and the servants. It is just grand! It's such a well done show! I have no idea if this show is still running on PBS or not but.....as long as Netflix continues to have it, I"ll be watching! Time with Dave on the couch watching something we both like is always a fave......
- SPECIAL MESSAGE! from a co-worker who's turning into a casual friend.....I don't often "friend" someone from the workplace on a social networking site but...this time I did and it's been good!! She is a teacher who really needs a lot of encouragement right now....I'm so thankful that God has put her in my life, and that He has placed me in her classroom...a new friend is always a fave.....

- HAZELNUT TRUFFLES! sweet bursts of hazelnuts and dark chocolate. and the gourmet taste of Lindt...on sale....enough said!
Those are my faves for this week.
I am officially on spring break for the next 10 days and about to take time today to reflect on all that Christ has done for us.....He died so we could live for eternity if we just accept His Gift of Salvation, mercy, forgiveness, and grace.
And that's the greatest favorite of all!!

That's neat you got to see Gary Chapman in person! Those truffles look really yummy. I'm just starting to feel better today and need to get some chocolate!

What a beautiful site and a wonderful list of faves you have. I stumbled upon your site from someone else's. Food can definitely heal us, and citrus holds so many healing vitamins. Love the truffle note, too! :-)
How great that you got to go to a Gary Chapman conference. I would have loved that too.
I keep hearing over and over about Downton Abbey. I need to check it out soon.
Praying you have a blessed Easter weekend!
I would love to attend a love languages conference. It would be awesome to hear the teaching live.
I should catch up on the Downtown Abbey series. So many are talking about it. Right now, though I started getting into "The Firm" so I'll have to see that one through first.
Happy Easter!
I know, I love seeing authors in person.
Haven't gotten into Downton Abbey yet, but I want to! I'm looking forward to those evenings on the couch with my hubby again sometime. Life's been a little different lately, and we miss those nights. They're coming, I'm sure.
Have a blessed Easter, Faith!
So cool that you got to hear/see G. Chapman in person! I am trying to find my Love Language...ahh, to no avail yet : (
Your sister Hope should eat grapefruit!! She's been sick for awhile. I myself do not like. Those Hazlenut things look YUM : )
Happy Easter Faith!!
I like G Chapman's books too. It would be great to hear him in person.
I'm eating grapefruit every day too - red ones - I love them!
Downton Abbey is the only TV show I watched this year. It was good. I love the time period and the women's costumes.
Happy Easter!
Wow, Faithe, you've had quite the week. It's interesting that you've been living out the loves as you seek to serve the people in your life.
My parents just lent me the second season of Downton Abbey -- apparently, they couldn't find season one (as DVD) so I'm a little reluctant to start not-at-the-beginning... we'll see. Hope you had a wonderful Easter celebration.
Hi Nikkipolani! oh my...i cannot imagine starting Downton Abbey with the 2nd season...it might be confusing...there is sooo much character development in the first season. We just finished season 1 on netflix and are anxiously awaiting season 2 to be offered by them....if you have netflix, watch episodes 1-7....very important!!
Yah, I think you are right. I'm going to hold out for Season One!
Oh Yay! so glad you saw my follow-up comment Nikkipolani!! season one is just the 7 episodes.....i cannot WAIT to see season 2....i've GOT to find out what happens with Mary.....:)
