I really liked the questions for the Sunday Stealin' this week. To learn how to join in, head over to this blog.
This week we're stealing from Christina at Call Me Patsy. Back in 2008, she said this was the TV meme "that everyone has been doing." Well, we don't like to be left out.
Tune In
1. Name a TV show you've seen every episode of:
There are 4: Knots Landing (from the 80s/90s); Downton Abbey (Netflix); Friends(1994-2004) Law and Order SVU (NBC or Peacock from 1999-present)
2. On which device do you do most of your viewing (television, tablet, computer, phone)?
for Law and Order SVU: television every Thursday evening; for most of my movie viewing: Macbook laptop via one of our many streaming services
3. Name an actor/actress who would make you less likely to watch a show.
Sarah Jessica Parker and Brad Pitt
4. When you were a kid, what show did you love?
There were several. Believe it or not I loved Gunsmoke but I think it's because my daddy watched it faithfully and would let me sit with him and watch it. That and Bonanza because I had a crush on Michael Landon.
Other shows I loved as a teen (we weren't allowed to watch much other than holiday movies/cartoons when we were under age 12): Little House on the Prairie; The Partridge Family; Petticoat Junction; Beverly Hillbillies; The Waltons; Mash; Laverne and Shirley. I honestly didn't have time as a teen to watch much television but in the summer months we would watch reruns of these.
5. What show do you recommend everyone watch
Law and Order SVU with my hero Olivia Benson
6. What show do your friends like, but you don't?
Doctor Who
7. When you watch TV, do you also busy yourself with something else (jigsaw puzzle, folding laundry, etc.)?
If I'm watching something on Netflix during the late morning, I'm usually prepping veggies for dinner or folding laundry or sometimes paying bills.
In the evening if I'm watching a movie with hubby, I'm usually just curled up next to him. During commercials (like on Hulu!) I'll do my French lesson on Duolingo.
8. Do you eat a meal or snack while watching TV?
Drama
10. Do you prefer mini series (shows that tell their stories in a pre-determined number of episodes) or shows that come back season after season?
I do prefer mini series I can watch on Netflix/Hulu, etc but the one show I watch season after season is Law and Order SVU.
HAPPY SUNDAY!!

You and I would have few battles over the remote, since we agree on much. While I don't recall this myself, my mother used to tease me that Little Joe/Michael Landon was my first love and I cried whenever anyone hit or shot him. Back in the long-ago 1980s, my oldest friend and I used to have what you call a "couch picnic" to watch Magnum PI. How she loved Tom Selleck ("The Tommer," as she called him). Thanks for spurring these memories.
Very interesting 😉

Hi Faith, We don't watch network TV at all anymore, and haven't for years. Most of the series did not appeal or were just downright stupid. Sometimes, Charly and I will watch a movie or documentary on Netflix. We cancelled Hulu a while back, and have considered cancelling Netflix. I watched some of the same TV shows as you when I was young. Leave it To Beaver was and remains my favorite with I Love Lucy a close second.
I didn't really care for Doctor Who either. Loved your answers. Have a great day.

I loved Petticoat Junction -- such a great show!
I have never seen an episode of Law and Order. Or NCIS.
I record L&O and SVU; I still haven't watched it this week. I watch almost nothing in real time. I didn't watch Downton Abbey yet saw all 3 movies. I watched Beverly Hillbillies/Petticoat Junction/Green Acres in the day. https://www.rogerogreen.com/2012/09/04/h-is-for-paul-henning-and-the-hooterville-trilogy/
