HAPPY THANKSGIVING, to all my blogger friends who live in the USA.
This is the day we take time out to give thanks for five of our faves from the past week. I like this writing exercise because although we have one day set aside in our country to offer up thanks to God for giving us this great country, for what the Pilgrims did in settling here, etc., but the Bible says to give thanks daily. In fact, it is how we should open up our prayer time. Giving thanks to God for all the blessings and circumstances He brings into our lives. Please join in by linking up at Susanne's.
Because I am on vacation with my family at my in-laws house in Plymouth County, MA, I am just going to list my five fave Scriptures that are based on thanksgiving along with some photos from around our home in eastern NYS.
- I CHRONICLES 16:8
Our Thanksgiving Flag from the front porch Sunday 20 November 2016 |
- PSALM 100:4 "Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name."
- I THESSALONIANS 5:18
along the trail on Saturday morning's hike on Peebles Island State Park |
- PSALM 136:1 "Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever."
- PSALM 106:1
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, giving thanks to our Father for all things.

Thanks for sharing these inspiring verses. Hope you and yours are having a wonderful weekend with your in-laws. Enjoy the coming week as well. See you next time.
Of course we don't celebrate Thanksgiving here and the turkeys have to wait until Christmas, poor things. Our ancestors stayed here !
These are some of my favorite verses! We had snow on Sunday morning also :)
I hope you can stop by and will consider joining the 2017 PenPal sign-ups:

Thank you for these! Have fun with your family!
Thank you for the inspiration. We had our own mini Thanksgiving dinner in honour of my American DIL but we only had a turkey crown which was still too much for the four of us. We'll have a whole turkey at Christmas. Have a good weekend.
Great scriptures and photos, Faithe! 1st Thessalonians 5:18 is so special to me!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. I always love when you participate in FFF!
Wonderful scriptures you shared. Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving.
